Default Petition for the Emperor to fire his urban planner

Has anyone ever taken a trip out to Bukbek Byway? How about the Sujian District? Or down to the Wajun Bazaar? How about the undercity? Have you ever noticed how the city is built like a freaking maze? There are usually two levels, and the stairs used to transition between them are few and far in between. Same thing can be said if you want to cross a canal. The city is planned such that there's usually lengthy segments that lead the dead ends and the path you need to take to go from one end of it to the other is very counter intuitive. At least in Tyria all you really had to do was go in the direction of the green arrow. In Cantha, you pretty much need OnStar GPS service to get anywhere.

I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I find it really really frustrating to navigate through the new expansion. How do Canthan citizens cope with this? Who's the urban planner that drafted this mess? What the hell was he smoking?

/not signed because i dont think he has an urban planner. the citizens pretty much built their shacks wherever they could find empty space and with so many people it was bound to get congested and confusing.

From a gamer point of view, how fun and challenging would it be if Cantha was laid out like Manhattan and the next mission or outpost was 4 blocks to the left?

The Emperor amuses himself at the Hero's troubles.

Everytime a player gets to a green star for a quest and discovers that the green star is actually above him/her, the Emperor giggles.

But i AM pissed off that when you FINALLY get through ALL the mazes in the damn city at the end, and you are supposed to meet the damn emporor in Imperial Sanctum, he doesnt even look at you! He just stares at the damn wall and ignores everyone that is trying to save his damn nation. What a jerk. And somehow he has a uber invisible sheild so my assasin couldnt stab him in the back, shiro style.

Heh, misread it as Turban planner.
Well, in either case, yeah, the city is a mess and so is his headpiece.
Wonder what he has under there.

Because it's a pain when you can't find a public toilet and you really, really, really have to go....

I'm not annoyed with the cities layout. However I'm pretty annoyed that I can't make out what the city looks like from my mini map. It looks like a blur...

This wasn't really meant to be a serious suggestion, just a minor witty bantering thing, but thanks for moving it anyway, I guess...

it's fine the way it is. It would take a long time for the devs to redo all the heightmaps and walkmeshes for the whole city.

you COULD kill him before if he was in your party and you were MM. Just raise an army, and leave the game. :P
